Newsletter – January 15, 2026

Dear St. Francis de Sales Parish School Families,

Please join us for Catholic Schools Week, our annual celebration of what makes education at St. Francis de Sales Parish School so unique. Kicking off with Sunday Mass at St. Francis de Sales Church on January 26th, we have an entire week of activities planned to highlight our students’ accomplishments and to honor the community we have built together to educate tomorrow’s citizens and future church leaders.

The theme of our Catholic Schools Week celebration is United in Faith and Community. It reflects the core values and principles of St. Francis de Sales Parish School. Not only are we teaching students to become future servant leaders, faith-filled disciples, and active citizens in our communities, but our teachers are growing alongside them as well. In Catholic schools, we are all learners, servants, and leaders. These shared qualities are what make Catholic schools so effective. They are the foundation of our success.

The theme also highlights key aspects of a Catholic education: faith formation, academic excellence, leadership development, and a commitment to service. These qualities distinguish Catholic schools from other educational choices. That’s why families are willing to make personal sacrifices to give their children a Catholic education.

We are excited to celebrate Catholic Schools Week with our students, staff, and families! Throughout the week, students will enjoy a variety of fun dress-up days and meaningful activities that celebrate faith, community, and learning. Highlights include special theme days such as Pajama Day, Flannel Day, School Spirit Day, and Wear Your School Uniform to Sunday Mass. Students will also take part in service projects, attend an all-school Mass at Catholic Central High School, participate in the Religion Rocks competition, a scavenger hunt, assemblies, and favorite traditions like the 8th Grade vs. Staff volleyball game and the Spelling Bee.

A flyer with the full schedule of events is included with this newsletter: please take a moment to review it so your child is ready for each special day.

Join us for our St. Francis de Sales Parish School Open House! St. Francis de Sales Parish School is excited to invite current families to an upcoming Open House to explore everything our school community has to offer. We encourage prospective families interested in a Catholic education to learn more about our school during the Open House. This event is an excellent opportunity for new families to discover our programs serving students from PreK 3 through 8th Grade. The School Open House will take place on Wednesday, January 28th, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. If you’re unable to attend or want more information, please visit our website at www.sfdslg.org/school or contact us directly at 262-248-2778.

Coinciding with our School Open House, we are excited to reintroduce our New Student Referral Program to thank you for your support of our school. Families, parishioners, and staff who refer a new student to St. Francis de Sales Parish School can receive a $1,000 tuition credit or cash award once the student enrolls and completes the school year. To qualify, a referral form must be submitted before the family applies for admission, and students must enroll full-time in 4K–8th grade and meet the referral criteria. Awards are distributed in June and may be prorated for mid-year enrollments.

Please know that your recommendations truly make a difference. Thank you for sharing our mission and inviting others into our faith-filled school community. For more details, see the flyer included with this email or contact the school office.

I hope you visit St. Francis de Sales Parish School during Catholic Schools Week to meet our students, learn about their faith development, and view the academic projects, artwork, and community service projects on display. Take some time to meet and talk with our outstanding teachers and staff. Please bring your friends and neighbors, especially those considering Catholic education for their children.

I am thankful everyday for the teachers, staff, board members, parents, and volunteers who contribute to St. Francis de Sales Paris School’s success. Catholic Schools Week is a perfect time for us to recognize their dedication and service.

Classroom Additions Update: 1-15-2026

The new classroom additions building project continues. The windows in the northeast corner of the school building have been removed. A temporary, insulated wall has been installed in the main floor hallway to cover the opening where the windows used to be.

The inside entrance to the former P.E. Office/Storage area has been walled over. The outside area of the Office/Storage Area has been demolished and is being refurbished. Eventually, this area, along with the window in the hallway, will become the interior walls of the new classrooms.
