Home & School Association

Home & School Association is a parent-run organization. Our purpose is to act as an additional resource to parents. We also develop and coordinate the Fundraising and Enrichment activities of the school.  We are dedicated to the promotion of Catholic education and the success of our school.

Home & School sponsors many events including: Casino Night, Advent Breakfast, Jog-a-thon, 5-K Run and the Halloween Party.

Home & School also coordinates many programs and purchases that enrich your child’s educational experience, such as Textbooks, Visual Arts, playground items, building & ground improvements, technology and the school musical. We welcome any new ideas for clubs or learning opportunities!

As a parent, you are automatically a member of the Home and School Association.

How can we help? Got questions?
Whether you’re new to our school or just need some information, think of Home & School as another resource for answers. Parent to parent, we’re glad to help!

We need you! You’re invited to get involved in the Home & School Association. Whether your schedule allows you to volunteer regularly or only an hour per year, there’s always a way for you to make a difference! Parents’ participation in HSA offers a great opportunity to meet other parents, to stay informed with what is happening in our school, and to provide the volunteer help our school heavily relies on.

5K Run/Walk

The 10th annual SFDS Roadrunner 5K run/walk is coming up on Saturday, May 28, 2022. This event is a fun, healthy, way to spend a Saturday morning in May with your family and the St. Francis community! Many students run with their friends, family members, neighbors or teachers. Others become competitive and run against classmates or even their parents to see who can achieve the best time. While not everybody will receive a medal, the top three finishers in each of our designated age categories will receive a gold, silver or bronze medal (virtual runners will not be eligible for medals).
There is an early registration fee of $20 for everyone who signs up by Sunday, May 15. The cost will increase to $30 for anyone who signs up after this date. We would love to see as many people as possible sign up online – – it is easy and T-shirt sizes are easy to select this year. T-shirt sizes will be guaranteed for those that sign up by May 15. After May 15, we cannot guarantee an event shirt.

Going For Green Auction

Our “Going for Green” event at Topsy Turvy will take place on Saturday, March 5th. We hope to see you all there in your red, white and blue or Olympic-themed apparel!
Purchase your tickets for the in-person event or RSVP to bid on silent and live auction items from the comfort of your home. We have some great items so far ranging from airplane rides to Brewers tickets, hot air balloon adventures, dance camps, overnight getaways and more!

Halloween Party

Advent Breakfast

Cancelled for 2020

Come and enjoy a delicious Pancake Breakfast. Get ready for the holidays by purchasing items from the Bake Shoppe and Poinsettia Sale. This annual event is a parish-wide fundraiser sponsored by our Home and School Association and your support is needed at this event to help maintain the many quality programs and activities that are funded through Home and School.

Father/Daughter Dance

The father/daughter dance, on March 7, 2019, is a wonderful evening for dads to treat their little princesses to a night on the town! So, get decked out in your finest attire and enjoy the food, music, dancing and memories that will last a lifetime!

This event is an exciting way for the students to raise funds for the school, get some exercise and build school spirit. Students from every grade participate. Organized by grade level and cheered on by the whole school, students run a set course around the school and parish grounds. Every student receives a medal.

Mother/Son Bowling

The mother/son bowling is an afternoon filled with laughs, fun and a little good-natured competition! It’s a great way to hang out with other sons and moms in your class.

Pancake Lunch

Home & School hosts an all-school pancake lunch during Catholic Schools Week. Parents and students dress in pajamas for the special lunch.

Pie Fundraiser

The Lake Geneva Pie Co. has come up with a great alternative (an upgrade) to the Market Day Pie Sale. We are going to pre-sell apple pies for the month of September and then hold a pie-making event to assemble to pies. The pies will be ready by Thanksgiving. All parents are welcome to help volunteer to assemble these pies.
