Home & School Association

Welcome

Home & School Association is a parent-run organization. Our purpose is to act as an additional resource to parents. We also develop and coordinate the Fundraising and Enrichment activities of the school.  We are dedicated to the promotion of Catholic education and the success of our school.

Home & School sponsors many events including: Casino Night, Advent Breakfast, Jog-a-thon, 5-K Run and the Halloween Party.

Home & School also coordinates many programs and purchases that enrich your child’s educational experience, such as Textbooks, Visual Arts, playground items, building & ground improvements, technology and the school musical. We welcome any new ideas for clubs or learning opportunities!

As a parent, you are automatically a member of the Home and School Association.

How can we help? Got questions?
Whether you’re new to our school or just need some information, think of Home & School as another resource for answers. Parent to parent, we’re glad to help!

We need you! You’re invited to get involved in the Home & School Association. Whether your schedule allows you to volunteer regularly or only an hour per year, there’s always a way for you to make a difference! Parents’ participation in HSA offers a great opportunity to meet other parents, to stay informed with what is happening in our school, and to provide the volunteer help our school heavily relies on.

5K Run/Walk

The 10th annual SFDS Roadrunner 5K run/walk is coming up on Saturday, May 28, 2022. This event is a fun, healthy, way to spend a Saturday morning in May with your family and the St. Francis community! Many students run with their friends, family members, neighbors or teachers. Others become competitive and run against classmates or even their parents to see who can achieve the best time. While not everybody will receive a medal, the top three finishers in each of our designated age categories will receive a gold, silver or bronze medal (virtual runners will not be eligible for medals).
There is an early registration fee of $20 for everyone who signs up by Sunday, May 15. The cost will increase to $30 for anyone who signs up after this date. We would love to see as many people as possible sign up online – SFDS.5k.run – it is easy and T-shirt sizes are easy to select this year. T-shirt sizes will be guaranteed for those that sign up by May 15. After May 15, we cannot guarantee an event shirt.

Halloween Party

Our Halloween Party will take place Friday, October 28th from 5:30-9pm.  Students are encouraged to wear their costumes and enjoy a fun night with their friends and families. This year’s activities will include: DJ, Photo booth, Taco Food Truck ($12 per meal), Costume contests, kids games, and face painting.
