Newsletter – October 30, 2025

Dear St. Francis de Sales Parish School Families and Friends,

We’re thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter in our school’s growth! Join us for the Groundbreaking Ceremony as we celebrate the start of construction on four new classrooms, an important step in expanding and enriching our students’ learning environment.

Date: Thursday, November 6th
Time: 4:00 pm
Location: St. Francis de Sales Parish School

This moment marks an important step in continuing our mission to provide an outstanding, faith-filled education for our students today and for generations to come. Bishop Schuerman is among the many who will be in attendance. We hope you’ll join us as we come together in gratitude and anticipation for this exciting new chapter in our school’s story.

As our school community continues to grow, we’d like to share that our 4-year-old Kindergarten (4K) classroom has moved to the Jonah Room II in the Parish Center for the remainder of the current school year. We needed to move to accommodate the number of students that we currently have in 4K. The larger space allows for more learning centers, hands-on activities, and room to play, helping our youngest learners thrive and grow each day. Ms. Lovelace also plans to continue engaging with other grades throughout the school to ensure her students feel connected to and a part of the greater St. Francis de Sales Parish School community.

A heartfelt thank-you to all the students and staff who pitched in to make the move smooth and successful. Your teamwork truly reflects the spirit of our St. Francis de Sales family!

Our Catholic Soles Luminary Walk was a tremendous success! It was a beautiful evening of faith, fellowship, and community. Although the walk and Mass are behind us, we’re still accepting donations to help us reach our fundraising goal! Our Catholic Soles Luminary Walk is one of St. Francis de Sales School’s largest fundraisers, and every gift, big or small, supports our mission of faith, learning, and service.

Incentives remain active!

  • The class with the most students signed up for the fundraising page, or with 100% participation, will earn an extra recess and a casual dress day.
  • The class that raises the most money will receive a casual dress day and a pizza lunch with the principal.
  • And for that top-earning class, the teacher will also receive a well-deserved extra planning period and a casual dress day.

Please consider sharing our fundraiser with family, friends, and on social media: together, we can light the way for our students! Here is the link to donate:

Thank you for your continued generosity and prayers!

The first academic quarter ends today! Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday, November 13th, from 1:20 pm to 7:00 pm. To accommodate Conferences, we will have a 1:00 pm early dismissal on November 13th. An electronic signup sheet for Preschool through 5th Grade conferences will be sent out shortly. Middle School and Specials teachers will be available in the gym on the day of Parent-Teacher Conferences. Please stop by to meet with them when they are available.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are an important way to discuss your child’s progress, celebrate successes, and work together to support their continued growth both academically and socially. We look forward to meeting with you.

Beginning in the 2027–2028 school year, St. Francis de Sales Parish School will implement a new 3rd-to-4th-grade promotion policy in accordance with Wisconsin Act 20. This law ensures all students are reading at grade level by the end of the 3rd grade. Students who need extra support will receive intensive reading instruction, progress monitoring, and summer reading opportunities until proficiency is reached. Certain exceptions apply for students with special circumstances.

We are committed to helping every child grow as a confident reader. A copy of the full policy is attached to this newsletter for your review.

Just a friendly reminder that there is no school tomorrow, Friday, October 31st, for a teacher in-service day. We wish all our students and families a fun, safe, and spook-tacular Halloween weekend!

 Christmas Parade Float!

As Halloween wraps up and candy buckets empty out, we’re already gearing up for one of our next events — the Annual Christmas Parade! This year’s float theme “Noah’s Ark” we’re looking for any animal costumes (big or small, cute or cuddly!) that your little ones might have worn for Halloween and grown out of.

Do you have any animal costumes you’d be willing to donate or buy any on clearance while shopping?
They’ll be worn by our students during the parade as we bring Noah’s Ark and friends to life!

Thank you for helping us make the holidays magical!

  CCHS Activities
