Newsletter – October 2, 2025

Dear St. Francis de Sales Parish School Families,

And the Winners Are! Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and supported our Fall Festival raffle! We’re excited to announce that the 3rd-grade and 6th-grade classes were the big winners of the “Lunch with the Principal” raffle. Both classes (plus their teachers!) walked to Culver’s for a special lunch filled with burgers, fries, and frozen custard. Even better, I got to tag along for the fun! Congratulations to our winners, and thank you to everyone who helped make this fundraiser and the Parish Fall Festival such a success!

Our St. Francis de Sales 3rd graders enjoying a leisurely lunch at Culver’s with the principal!

Next week is Fire Prevention Week, a time to remind our students about the importance of fire safety. We will be practicing a fire drill at school and discussing safety steps in the classroom. The Lake Geneva Fire Department will be talking with our students as well. Fire Prevention Week is an excellent opportunity to continue the conversation at home: Check smoke alarms, review escape routes, and pick a family meeting spot. Together, we can help our children feel prepared and safe.

As a reminder, there is no school next Friday, October 10, due to a Teacher In-Service Day. Please plan accordingly.

If you’re looking for something to do next Friday, there will be a splashing good time for our St. Francis de Sales families at Timber Ridge Waterpark! Enjoy a full day of water fun from 12:00 m to 8:00 pm with slides, pools, and plenty of fun. Tickets are just $17 per person, and for every ticket purchased, $5 will go directly to benefit the St. Francis de Sales class trip to Washington, D.C.

 Important Details:

  • Tickets are cash only and must be purchased through the school office.
  • Deadline to purchase is Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
  • Once payment is received, your family’s name will be added to the list.

Don’t miss out on this chance to support our students while making family memories. Grab your tickets early, and have a great time at the waterpark!

Good attendance is one of the strongest predictors of success in school. When students are present each day, they don’t just keep up with lessons: they build confidence, friendships, and strong learning habits. Even a few absences can add up quickly. Missing just two days a month means nearly 20 days in a year, the same as a whole month of learning! While we know illnesses and emergencies happen, making daily attendance a priority helps your child stay on track. Thank you for all you do to get your child here, on time, and ready to learn. Together, let’s make every day count!

Catholic Schools Luminary Walk

We are excited to invite you and your family to a special evening of faith, fellowship, and community spirit on Saturday, October 18th.

After the 5:15 PM Mass, we will gather for a peaceful and meaningful Luminary Walk. This beautiful tradition is a chance for our school and parish families to come together in prayer, reflection, and unity as we walk a candle-lit path through the school or parish grounds.

Following the walk, we will share a community meal, giving everyone an opportunity to connect and enjoy time together. This is a wonderful way to strengthen the bonds that make our school and parish family so special.

We warmly encourage all families to attend. Your presence and participation not only support our school but also help nurture the sense of community that makes our mission possible.

Please stay tuned for more details on how you can help or contribute, whether through food, setup, or simply by joining us with your family.

We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this special evening together.

Christmas Parade Float!

As Halloween wraps up and candy buckets empty out, we’re already gearing up for one of our next events — the Annual Christmas Parade! This year’s float theme “Noah’s Ark” we’re looking for any animal costumes (big or small, cute or cuddly!) that your little ones might have worn for Halloween and grown out of.

Do you have any animal costumes you’d be willing to donate or buy any on clearance while shopping?
They’ll be worn by our students during the parade as we bring Noah’s Ark and friends to life!

Thank you for helping us make the holidays magical!
