Newsletter – April 2, 2026

Dear St. Francis de Sales Parish School Families,

We are pleased to share the official St. Francis de Sales Parish School 2026–27 School Calendar with you. This calendar lists important dates for the upcoming academic year, including the first and last days of school, holidays, breaks, conferences, and special events.

A few key highlights for your planning:

  • First Day of School: Wednesday, August 26th, 2026
  • Thanksgiving Break: November 25-27, 2026
  • Christmas Break: December 21st, 2026 – January 1st, 2027
  • Spring Break: March 22–29, 2027
  • Last Day of School: Friday, June 4th, 2027 (early release)

We encourage all families to review the calendar carefully and start planning for the new school year. Knowing about early release days, conference dates, and school breaks will help ensure a smooth and successful year for your family.

As we begin planning for the new school year, we want to share a few important updates about our faculty with our school community.

At the end of this school year, Ela Carrano (Middle School Math and Science), Audrey Klein (Kindergarten), and Heather Patrick (Reading Specialist) will be moving on from their roles at our school. We are truly grateful for their dedication, professionalism, and the positive influence they have had on our students and our entire school community. Each of these teachers has brought unique talents to our classrooms, and their contributions have created a lasting impact on our students’ lives. While we will certainly miss them, we wish Ela, Audrey, and Heather all the best in their future endeavors.

With these transitions, we have begun seeking qualified and passionate educators to join our team. The positions have been posted, and we are actively working to find candidates who will continue to support our mission and deliver a strong educational experience for our students.

Please rest assured that maintaining a high level of academic excellence and continuity for our students remains our top priority. We are dedicated to a careful hiring process and to welcoming new teachers who will be a great fit for our school community.

Third-quarter report cards are being sent home with students today. This is an important opportunity to review your child’s academic progress, celebrate successes, and identify any areas for continued growth as we move into the final quarter of the school year. Please take time to go over the report card with your child. We encourage you to have a conversation about what is going well and any areas that may be more challenging. These discussions can be very helpful in setting goals and supporting your child’s continued success. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child’s progress in more detail, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher.

As we enter into the sacred time of Holy Week and celebrate the joy of the Resurrection, please note that there will be no school on Good Friday or Easter Monday. This time allows our students, families, and staff to reflect, pray, and celebrate the great gift of Easter together.

We wish all of our school families a blessed and joyful Easter filled with peace, hope, and renewal!
