Dear St. Francis de Sales Parish School Families,
As we prepare for another school year, we invite all families to participate in our Ready, Set, Goal! Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences at St. Francis de Sales Parish School on Thursday, August 21st, from 1:20 pm to 8:00 pm.
These conferences, which are held before the first day of school, are a great opportunity for students, parents, and teachers to come together and set a positive tone for the year ahead. Rather than waiting until later in the school year, we believe in starting strong: with clear goals, shared expectations, and a united commitment to your child’s growth.
Why is this important? It fosters early communication and trust between home and school. One of the key benefits of these conferences is that they empower students. When they actively participate in setting their own goals, they feel more accountable and in control of their learning, which is a reassuring sign for parents about their child’s development. Teachers also gain valuable insights into each student before the first lesson begins. And parents become active partners in shaping the academic, spiritual, and emotional success of their children.
At St. Francis de Sales Parish School, we believe that when faith and preparation come together, great things happen. Ready, Set, Goal is more than a meeting; it’s the beginning of a shared goal to help every child succeed.
At this time, parents will only meet with their child’s homeroom teacher. A sign-up link will be sent to families through OptionC to schedule your conference time. Please watch for the sign-up link and join us as we prepare for another year of learning and growth. Let’s get ready, set, and GOAL!
We’re excited to share some updates on our new playground equipment installation project! The brand-new playground equipment has officially been delivered, and we can’t wait for our students to enjoy it. In preparation for the installation, the old playground equipment and its concrete foundation have been safely removed. In addition, the fresh new playground mulch has arrived and is ready to be put in place. Now, we’re simply waiting on the installation crew to complete the final step. Once installed, our students will have a fun, safe, and updated space to play, explore, and build memories. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we bring this project to life!
As we gear up for the 2025–26 school year, our Home and School Association is busy preparing for all the exciting things ahead. We’re asking each family to complete the “Pick 2” Volunteer Form to help support our school events and activities. You can access the form here: Volunteer Form. Each family is encouraged to sign up for at least two opportunities, but you’re welcome to choose more ! Brief descriptions of each activity are provided to help guide your choices. If you have questions or aren’t sure what a role involves, please reach out to homeandschool@sfdslg.org. We have a fantastic team and plenty of support to help make volunteering easy and fun. Working together, we can do amazing things for our children and school community!
The Catholic Central High School volleyball team is hosting a car wash this Sunday, August 9th, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Francis de Sales. Get your car sparkling clean and support these dedicated student-athletes as they gear up for their upcoming season. Thank you in advance for your support!

Happy August! The kickoff to the 2025/2026 school year is right around the corner and Home and School is beginning to plan for the exciting things that the new school year will bring. As such, I wanted to send out a request for families to complete the attached Volunteer “Pick 2” form. You can find the google form version here: https://forms.gle/nZnxgm6cR1RxQU1T6
Please take a few minutes in the coming days to fill out this form and let us know what activities you would like to participate in for the upcoming school year. There is a brief description of the events/volunteer opportunities. We ask each family to sign up for 2, but we welcome you to sign up for as many as you would like!

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a federally-funded, state administered program that reimburses operators who serve FREE healthy meals and snacks to children and teens.
These meals are available to any child aged 18 and under; no application or other information is needed! Find meals at schools, parks, and other locations in your community using one of the following:
