Dear Parents, As we enter July and celebrate America’s Birthday I want to thank you once more for your continued support and dedication to SFdS parish school. The last quarter of school offered many challenges for our community and the opportunity for us to learn as we move forward looking to our upcoming school year.
While there are many details that still need to be worked out to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff, we are planning to open the 2020-21 school year on schedule, and as normally as possible, on August 31.
Be assured that we are committed to providing the highest-quality instruction and developmentally healthy experiences for our students within the bounds of safe and responsible procedures for sanitation and exposure control at school. To accomplish this, some things will change, instructionally and logistically. We continue to work with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and the Lake Geneva District to work out details. Please also know that if circumstances require us to flex to distance learning for a period of time during the school year, we are prepared to do it — and do it well. Unless a mandate prevents it, we are committed to face-to-face instruction to better nurture and educate the “whole child,” not only academically, but socially, emotionally and spiritually as well.
We are spending the time this summer enhancing our classrooms, upgrading our technology and our textbooks to be better prepared for the new year and the challenges it may bring. We are doing deep cleaning of our classrooms, updating our bathrooms and planning our STREAM lab. The main school office will be moved down the hall to provide a secure and safe entrance to our school and to better serve our families. An area for sick students will be designated in our new office as well. Father Ray has introduced himself to staff and visited our campus. There is an excitement in the air!A few reminders:Please complete your TADs agreements for the upcoming year. Every family must complete the agreement. TADs application for financial assistance is also open for you to submit. Feel free to email Traci if you have any questions.
School office is open 8:00 am to noon on Monday thru Thursday, closed on Fridays.
I will email again in a few weeks with more details on our school opening.
Looking forward to a Happy Fourth of July. Be Safe and enjoy.
