Vacation Bible School
Summer is right around the corner and I would like to invite your student to join us for Vacation Bible School happening Monday July 21 through Thursday July 24 beginning at 8:30am and ending at 11:30am.
VBS takes place in the parish center and basement. Students entering grades K-5th will participate in arts and crafts, story time, outdoor games, music and movement, and each day will include a snack. Students entering grades 6-12 are welcome to join as volunteers. Students are welcome to bring friends from outside of SFDS.
The cost is $40 for the first student and then $35 for each additional student in your immediate family. This covers their daily snack and craft supplies.

STEM EXPLORERS PROGRAM -students aged 10 – 14 looking to discover their academic passion in the STEM fields.
Applications for the Summer Cohort of the STEM Explorers Program are open!
Led by researchers at MIT, Caltech, and Stanford, the STEM Explorers Program introduces ambitious middle school students like you to the cutting edge of your scientific field of interest. You’ll work 1-on-1 with a mentor and create an independent project.
Explore cool topics like cryptography, astrophysics, neuroscience, artificial intelligence, robotic control, game theory, genetic engineering, and many more!
Timeline
Week 1: Introduction to your mentor and align on a topic
Week 2-4: Explore the topic and identify the research question
Week 5-9: Create project with 1-1 support from mentor
Week 10-12: Complete final edits and submit the project for final evaluation
