Did we get your attention? Once again, we are so excited to invite everyone to participate in the 8^th Annual Soles for Catholic Education Walk on October 17^th at 10am. You can walk in your neighborhood, with a group of friends or at our school (details to follow). 

We have so many great prizes up for grabs: 
Top Earning Student Prize – Air pods
Top Earning Family Prize – A family photo shoot and dinner at Oak Fire – valued over $500! 
Top Earning Class – 5 casual days to redeem when desired for the whole class plus an ice cream gift card.  Each class that meets the $2500 class goal – An extra recess with ice cream social for your whole class. *Students who are learning virtually will receive an ice cream gift card in the mail.

No School
Oct 8^th & 9th/Teacher In-Service Day 

The Teachers are going to be diligently working on curriculum, accreditation and addressing any school needs.

Winter Sports
The upcoming winter athletic (basketball) season for Elementary School and Parish-Based Athletics, has been postponed until January 4, 2021 (tentatively).  No games, practices, or organized team activities may occur prior to January 4, 2021.

Dress Code
As colder weather gets closer this is your reminder that shorts are no longer allowed after OCT. 14 and leggings must be worn under skirts as stated in the handbook.

Late Student Check In
Please remember that if you drop a student off late a parent must come to the main office to sign them in.

Home Checks
As a reminder families are expected to be practicing in the daily morning home checks. A laminated sheet went home to each family. Thank you for cooperation in helping keep us all safe and healthy!

Aftercare
We have ROOM! Lots of games and activities lead by our aftercare director Ms. Donahue. Come join in on all the fun!

Safeguarding
Please read regarding volunteering at SFdS in the future!

As mandated by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, everyone who volunteers at St. Francis de Sales Parish School must meet the following requirements:

• Attend a Safeguarding All of God’s Family session one time
• Background checks run every 5 years
• Sign the Code of Ethics every 5 years
• To register for a Safeguarding All of God’s Family go to archmil.org and scroll to bottom right. You will be creating an account through CMG Connect and also be signing up for your background check to be done at the same time. A list of classes will be available. ALL CLASSES ARE DONE VIRTUALLY AT THIS TIME.
• If you are in need of updating your Background Check/ Code of Ethics you will do so through the CMG    Connect website. Please contact Mrs. Pankau if you have any questions at registrar@sfdslg.org.

Shout Outs

• Ms. Kreissl is the best that Early Childhood can offer.  She has been an amazing educator to her kiddos, families, and fellow teachers.  This is an age group that requires a lot of love and patience, and Ms. Kreissl defines it.  The kiddos love her!!-Mrs. Deane
• Mrs. Vavrina for supplying the staff with weekly treats!
• Laura B, MaryAnn M and Jason S for helping deliver lunch from badger, to students in our “new” way with cheerful smiles we can see in their eyes.
• Mrs. Donahue for being providing creative activities and keeping those kids engaged in aftercare!
