{"id":6581,"date":"2020-07-22T20:37:29","date_gmt":"2020-07-22T20:37:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sfdslg.org\/school\/?p=6581"},"modified":"2020-08-10T09:28:25","modified_gmt":"2020-08-10T14:28:25","slug":"sfds-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sfdslg.org\/school\/2020\/07\/22\/sfds-updates\/","title":{"rendered":"SFDS Updates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear Parents and Staff<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I hope you continue to enjoy&nbsp;these summer months and are staying safe and healthy.&nbsp; I have had the opportunity to spend time with my grandsons and have done lots of research on the best way to prepare&nbsp;for the students&#8217; return to our classrooms. It can be challenging with all the changes that are out there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the past few months on campus we have been working on a few things:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cleaning and updating our classrooms and all shared spaces<\/li><li>Updated and purchased textbooks that can be easily accessed online<\/li><li>Teachers have participated in a variety of professional development<\/li><li>Moved our main office down the hall<\/li><li>Updated our main hall student bathrooms<\/li><li>And much more&#8230;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Father Ray, our new Pastor will begin August 4th.&nbsp; Together we will provide&nbsp;communication and an outline of SFdS &#8220;2020 Back To School&#8221; information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this time I am working closely&nbsp;with the Lake Geneva Schools and the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to ensure we are taking all precautions and following local&nbsp;guidelines to&nbsp; prepare a healthy learning environment&nbsp;for our children. We will be sending out a parent survey next week to be sure we hear your concerns as we put together our final details for our process and procedures for this Fall.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please take time to complete the TADs agreement that was sent to all of our families at the&nbsp;end of June. Financial&nbsp;assistance is open for applications through TADS.&nbsp; You must complete your agreement before you apply for financial assistance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many of you are asking the same questions that parents across the country are asking.&nbsp; We are gathering the information from CDC, DPI &amp; Walworth County while formulating our final plan.&nbsp; I will be sending more communication and answering questions after Father Ray arrives.&nbsp; We intend to be open on time for 5 days a week with an option for students who choose to do online learning. Please continue to be patient and supportive.&nbsp; Most importantly let&#8217;s pray to the Ho;y Spirit for continued guidance and strength.
