Kindergarten Teacher

Biography

I graduated from the University of Oregon in 2006, with my B.S. in Educational Foundations, Special Education and Music. I am passionate about incorporating music and movement to maximize learning, focus, and fun! In 2008, I pursued my Masters of Teaching from the University of Portland.

My 11 years in the classroom teaching has been diverse, both in subject area and location. I feel confident that my experience will help inspire young minds to grow, explore and mature. My husband, Andy, and I are both honored to be educators and are blessed to have our children attend SFDS. Gideon is in 1st Grade, and Anya, in Kindergarten, have both attended SFDS since 3K.

I am excited to develop hands-on STREAM learning themes that will allow your child to extend their curiosities and inquiry. I value my students’ feelings and interests and aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them to thrive.

I hope that our classroom will foster a love for learning and a place to model the teachings of Christ through kindness, acceptance, and love. Our class will learn the motto, “Let your light shine” as we prepare to be examples of God’s light to everyone.
