Those of you who have seen Michael Deane teach know that he has a knack for connecting with kids of all ages. We are very happy that Mike has agreed to take on the additional responsibility of working with the teens of our parish. He will oversee religious education classes for our high school students, coordinate the sacrament of Confirmation, and plan special outings and activities fpr teen including future mission trips. He will work closely with our dedicated volunteers as well as our new Director of Child Faith Formation, Lori Glass.
Michael graduated from Marywood University with a major in Music Performance and a minor in Religious Studies. He taught music at Holy Cross High School in Pennsylvania and, among other things, was the Director of Youth Ministry at Divine Mercy Parish in Scranton. He also founded a non profit theatre group for grade school and high school kids.
