Part of Project 2017 includes the purchase of a new organ. After interviewing several companies,testing different organs, and getting bids, we are planning on purchasing an organ from the Allen Organ Company. One of the considerations is to try to have the organ down by the piano (as opposed to up in the former choir loft) so that it could be more readily available during Mass. The organ that’s here this weekend is a “demo”…it’s basically on loan to us for a week to see how it fits in the space and how the sound works. While this is the same brand (and about the same size) as the one we are ordering, it won’t be the same instrument. This one will be picked up next week and our new organ will be installed (hopefully!) in time for Easter 2017!
