The largest gift a parish will ever receive is likely to be from someone who has been a long-time supporter and considers their parish community to be family. Encouraging legacy gifts benefits the parish by securing support for ministries into the future, and gives parishioners a way to continue the faithful stewardship
they practiced in life.
Bequests in wills, charitable gift annuities, trusts, insurance and gifts of appreciated stock are all planned gifts; gifts that come after much thought and consultation with professional advisors. These important gifts will
ensure our lives will touch the lives that come after us – building the faith for generations to come.
We are very fortunate that one of our own parishioners, Attorney Tom Greenwald, will be presenting a program on “Planned Giving—the Basics” on Sept. 22, at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Center. Attorney Greenwald will explore bequests in wills and trusts, use of life insurance, and gifting alternatives that you can do to help secure the future of St. Francis de Sales. The program will be about 75 minutes long with a question and answer time following the seminar. Refreshments and treats will be served! Please RSVP to stewardship@sfdslg.org so that we can plan accordingly.
